Medical Services

Every Type of Medical Flight

Emergency Medical Flights

We arrange critical-care transfers with intensive-care equipped operator aircraft and appropriately qualified medical teams supplied by the air-ambulance provider — anywhere in the world, 24/7.

Bed-to-Bed Transfers

Door-to-door coordination: ground ambulance at the originating hospital, medical handover at the aircraft, in-flight care by the operator's medical team, and delivery to the receiving hospital bed.

ICU & Critical Care Aircraft

Operator air ambulances configured with ventilators, defibrillators, syringe drivers, ECMO support and intensive-care monitoring, staffed by the provider's ICU-qualified clinicians and flight nurses.

Medical Escort Services

For patients stable enough to travel commercial or on a regular charter, we arrange qualified medical escorts (nurse, paramedic or doctor) through accredited medical providers to accompany the journey.

International Repatriation

Bring loved ones home from anywhere in the world. We coordinate with insurers, hospitals, embassies, and customs to manage the entire repatriation chain.

Organ & Medical Cargo Transport

We arrange time-critical transport of organs for transplant, blood products, specialist medical equipment and laboratory samples on dedicated operator aircraft.

Medevac FAQ

Frequently Asked

How quickly can a medevac flight be activated?

For genuine emergencies we work to arrange the earliest possible departure, which depends on air-ambulance and medical-crew availability, ground ambulances at both ends, and diplomatic and airport clearances. Routine repatriations are usually planned over a longer window so that the right aircraft and medical configuration can be secured.

Do you work directly with insurers?

Yes. We liaise with international travel insurers, assistance companies and corporate medical providers, and coordinate between them and the air-ambulance operator so you do not have to manage the paperwork during a difficult time.

Can family travel on the same aircraft?

Yes — most missions include space for 1–4 family members depending on aircraft size. We brief family carefully on the in-flight environment so they're prepared.

What conditions can you transport?

From routine post-operative repatriation through to ventilated ICU patients, neonatal cases, cardiac patients, stroke, trauma, and infectious disease (with appropriate isolation). Every mission is subject to medical review and acceptance by the operating air-ambulance provider and its medical team before it is confirmed.

Do you provide bed-to-bed service?

Yes — this is the standard arrangement. We coordinate the ground ambulance from the origin hospital, medical handover at the aircraft, in-flight intensive care by the operator's medical team, ground ambulance to the destination hospital, and handover to the receiving consultant.

How do I pay or get cover from insurance?

Missions can be paid directly or funded by an insurer. For insurance-funded cases we liaise with the insurer or assistance company and coordinate the operator's invoicing and authorisation paperwork on your behalf. Many travel insurers and corporate health policies cover air ambulance repatriation, but cover is confirmed by your insurer, not by SkyBridge Jets.
