Safety & Operator Vetting
Safety is the first decision, not the last.
SkyBridge Jets is a charter broker. Before we recommend an operator, we complete a documented vetting process — described here in full so you know exactly what we do, and what remains the operator's responsibility.
Our Process
What we check before confirming a charter
AOC verification
We verify that the proposed operator holds an appropriate Air Operator Certificate, using available documentation and official civil-aviation-authority sources where reasonably available.
Insurance review
We request and review the operator's hull and third-party liability insurance documentation before confirmation, and retain it on the booking record.
Independent safety information
We check available ARGUS and WYVERN safety information for the proposed operator where relevant, and record the available rating or certification information and make it available to the client before booking. Absence of a third-party rating does not, on its own, disqualify an operator.
Aircraft suitability
We confirm with the operator that the proposed aircraft is suitable for the itinerary, runway, and passenger requirements you have described.
Independent safety intelligence we check
ARGUS & WYVERN operator information
For every charter arranged by SkyBridge Jets, we verify the proposed operator's AOC and insurance documentation and check available ARGUS and WYVERN safety information where applicable. We record the available rating or certification information and make it available to the client before booking.
ARGUS and WYVERN are independent third-party aviation safety organisations. Referring to their names here identifies sources used during our operator-vetting process and does not represent that SkyBridge Jets is certified, rated, endorsed by, or affiliated with either organisation.
Broker, not operator
Where our responsibility ends and the operator's begins
- SkyBridge Jets Ltd is an aircraft charter broker. We arrange flights operated by third-party AOC holders. We are not an air carrier and we do not operate aircraft.
- Aircraft airworthiness, maintenance, crew assignment, weather assessment, runway-performance calculations, dispatch and operational control remain the licensed operator's legal responsibility at all times.
- SkyBridge Jets does not hold, claim, or represent ARGUS or WYVERN accreditation, and is not certified, rated, endorsed by, or affiliated with either organisation.
- We will decline to arrange a charter if required licensing or insurance cannot be satisfactorily evidenced, or if the operator cannot confirm the trip can be conducted compliantly.
Grounds to decline
When we will not proceed
- Required AOC, insurance or aircraft documentation cannot be evidenced.
- The operator cannot confirm the trip can be conducted compliantly for the requested itinerary.
- The operator cannot confirm that the proposed aircraft is suitable for the runway, weight requirements or mission profile.
- Documentation provided appears materially inconsistent with the operator's stated capability.
Your part
Information we require from clients
Please provide accurate passenger details, valid travel documents (passports, visas, ESTAs where required), and full disclosure of any cargo, animals, unaccompanied minors, or items that may be classified as dangerous goods. These affect operator acceptance, permits, and safety planning. Full terms are set out in our Terms of Business.
