Private Jet Charter to London
London sits at the centre of European private aviation. With four dedicated business aviation airports surrounding the capital, clients can land within thirty minutes of Mayfair, the City, or the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. London Area Control handles roughly 1.5 million movements a year — yet executive arrivals at Farnborough, Biggin Hill, Luton, and Stansted bypass the commercial congestion entirely.
From state visits to Royal Ascot, from the Wimbledon fortnight to Frieze week, London moves on private wings. SkyBridge Jets arranges arrivals into the airport best suited to your destination — Farnborough for Mayfair, Biggin Hill for the City and Canary Wharf, Luton for the West End, and Stansted for the East and the Cambridge corridor.
Customs and immigration are handled inside the FBO terminal in under fifteen minutes, and chauffeured Bentley or Mercedes-Maybach transfers depart directly from the aircraft side. Helicopter onward to Battersea Heliport and the Royal Hospital is also available with as little as two hours' notice.
Why Fly Private to London
- Avoid Heathrow and Gatwick congestion entirely
- Land closest to your hotel, office, or country estate
- Customs and immigration processed inside private FBO lounges, typically far quicker than a terminal
- Discreet ground transfers in chauffeured Mercedes-Maybach or Bentley
- Helicopter onward to Battersea Heliport in 12 minutes from Farnborough

Choosing a London airport
There is no single best London airport for private aviation — the practical answer usually depends on where you finish the journey, the time of day, and the aircraft being offered. These are the fields most commonly used, with the considerations that tend to decide between them.
Farnborough (EGLF)
A dedicated business-aviation airport south-west of the capital, commonly used for Mayfair, the West End and the wider south-west. No scheduled airline traffic, so handling is typically quick. Movement limits and operating hours apply, so late arrivals should be checked in advance.
London Luton (EGGW)
North of the capital with multiple FBOs and a mix of business and commercial traffic. Often convenient for north and west London and the M1 corridor. Because it is a busy commercial field, slot and traffic conditions can affect timing at peak periods.
Biggin Hill (EGKB)
South-east of the capital and generally the shortest road transfer to the City and Canary Wharf. A night-time noise curfew applies, so overnight arrivals from the US or Middle East are usually routed elsewhere.
London Stansted (EGSS)
A long runway and 24-hour customs make it a practical option for larger and ultra-long-range aircraft, and for the East of England and the Cambridge corridor. Road transfer into central London is longer than from Biggin Hill or Farnborough.
London City (EGLC)
Closest to Canary Wharf and the City, but only aircraft approved for its steep approach may operate there, and runway length restricts the types that can use it. Where an approved aircraft is available, it can be the shortest overall door-to-door option.
Northolt (EGWU)
An RAF station that accepts a limited number of civil movements subject to permission and availability. Access cannot be assumed; where it is granted it sits close to west London.
Airport choice also affects the quote, not just the transfer. Positioning distance, handling and landing fees, and any curfew or slot constraint all feed into the final figure, which is why a firm price is route- and date-specific rather than a fixed rate.
