Private Jet Charter to St Barths
Saint-Barthélemy is one of the most restricted arrivals in the Caribbean. Gustaf III Airport (TFFJ) accepts only specially-rated turboprop and very-light-jet operations on a 650-metre runway with a steep, 12-degree downhill approach over Col de la Tourmente — pilots are individually certified before they may operate the field.
Almost all SkyBridge clients route as a two-leg connection: Ultra Long Range jet into Sint Maarten (TNCM, Princess Juliana) on the neighbouring Dutch island, then a six-minute connection on a St Barth Commuter Cessna Caravan or Pilatus PC-12 to TFFJ. Helicopter transfer (eight minutes from TNCM) is the alternative, and a sea-shuttle into Gustavia takes 45 minutes for guests who prefer to remain on the ground.
St Barths is a Schengen French territory — Euro currency, French law, and customs handled by the Police aux Frontières on arrival. The peak winter season runs from mid-December to mid-April, with the festive fortnight (23 December to 5 January) being the single most contested two weeks in Caribbean private aviation.
Why Fly Private to St Barths
- No commercial airline serves the island — private aviation is the only realistic arrival
- Connect ULR jet into TNCM and shuttle to TFFJ in six minutes
- Slots tighten during the festive fortnight — book by September
- Schengen entry handled at FBO with French Police aux Frontières
- Helicopter, sea-shuttle, or fixed-wing connection options
